Correction: This solicitation which was originally published in the CBD on or about 02 April 1998 and modified in the CBD on or about 21 May 1998, 09 June 1998 and 06 August 1998 is modified as follows: The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire Refuse Collection and Disposal Services at the Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia and surrounding activities. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, tools, materials, supplies, labor and transportation services necessary to perform refuse collection and disposal. Collection of disposable solid waste shall consist of processible solid waste, non-processible solid waste, industrial process waste, which includes garbage, debris, rubbish and other discarded burnable and non-burnable solid waste. Also included is white goods resulting from residential, industrial, commercial and community activities. This is a combination firm fixed/indefinite quantity type contract for a base period of oneyear with two one year options to extend, total duration not to exceed thirty six (36) months. The proposed solicitation is unrestricted. Specifications will be available on or about 11 September 1998 on a first come, first serve basis. A charge will be made for each set of specifications. The cost is $16.00. This price includes priority mail postage. The solictation will be made available upon receipt of a written request and a non-refundable check or money order paid to the order of the U.S. Treasury.
