removal of approximately 25 miles of railroad track located at Rocky
Mountain Arsenal and an RFP for these services has been released. A
site visit will be held on September 17, 1998 at Rocky Mountain Arsenal
in the Assembly Room of Bldg. 129. This site vist will begin at 9:00 A.
M. Participants must advise the contracting officer by 15 September if
they plan to attend. Due to space limitations, no more then two
representatives from each firm may participate in the tour of the
facilities though additional representatives may attend the morning and
afternood session at Bldg. 129. This is a mandatory site visit.
Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the RFP from the Contracting
Officer by phone, fax (303)289-0315 or by E-mail.The RFP and associated
documents is contained on a compact disk. Instructions on how to open
the files are set forth on the disk. The contract resulting from this
solicitation will be awarded to the offeror whose offer is technically
acceptable and represents the best proposed price to the Government.
The Government will not entertain any proposals that will result in a
payment by the Government to the contractor for removal of the railroad
track at the arsenal. Only proposal where the offeror will remove the
facilities at no cost to the Government or where the contractor will
pay the Government an amount specifieid within the offeror's proposal
for the right to remove and take title to this material will be
