Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting
proposals to select a contractor to implement PRE-SEPARATION AND
POST-SEPARATION SUPPORT TO JOB CORPS ENROLLEES. This is a national
initiative to provide follow-up and support services enabling students
to readjust to their home environments and successfully transition
into the actual world of work. The two primary objectives of this
initiative are to provide: (1) Pre-separation support and counseling
services in 61 centers to Job Corps students and center staff to help
prepare students to complete the program and make the transition from
center life to a life of employment and responsibility for their lives.
(2) Post-separation transitional support services to female Job Corps
students, during both the placement and post-placement periods to help
them make a successful transition from Job Corps to home and the work
force. The period of performance for the prospective award will be
twelve (12) months from the date of execution of the contract by the
Government plus four (4) 1-year options to extend at the discretion of
the Government. This requirement is let under Full and Open
Competition. The SIC Code is 8322 and the Size Standard is $5 million.
Request for proposals are available on the Department of Labor,
Employment and Training Administration's Home Page approximately 15
days from publication. Requests for proposals in hard copy form will
also be available on a first come, first served basis, until the supply
is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made
after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer will determine
whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the cost
of duplication of the solicitation documents. Closing date for receipt
of proposals is November 12, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. Local Time. Request for
proposals must cite RFP-DAA-98-51 and include two self addressed
labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause delays in mailing. Posted
