This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Offer/Quote for (RFQ) F65501-98-Q0382 closing date is of September 17, 1998 at 2:00 PM, Alaska Standard Time. Award will be made on/or about September 22, 1998. Elmendorf AFB, AK has a requirement to purchase services to lift/launch crane service for dry storage. Vendor shall provide crane service to lift and launch three (3) LCM-8 Landing Crafts located in the Ketchikan, Alaska Port area onto dry land and provide blocking for each vessel. Weight: 105 Tons, Height: 20 Ft, Length: 74 Ft each. Wet/dry storage for the three (3) LCM-8 Landing Crafts. Vendor shall provide protected storage of the vessels for the duration of the lay-up (On or about 22 Sep 98 through no later than 01 Apr 99). (3vessels x NOT TO EXCEED 186 days). Delivery and redelivery shall occur at vendor's facility in the water. Storage fee shall include pierside/land storage, electrical heater/heat in the pilot house and daily security checks. Pressure wash hulls for the LCM-8 Landing Crafts. Vendor shall pressure wash (3000 -- 7000 psi). Hull maintenance/repair/painting for the three (3) LCM-8 Landing Crafts NOT TO EXCEED $ AMOUNT. Boat lay-up and reactivation to include one (1) 20 Foot container, NOT TO EXCEED $ AMOUNT. This solicitation is a RESTRICTED acquisition. Submit offer for Best Value.
