58 -- AN/ALQ-167 POD CENTER SECTION SOL N68936-98-R-0231 DUE 102098 POC Dominga Skaruppa, Contract Specialist, 805/989-7001 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu intends to solicit competitive proposals for AN/ALQ-167 Pod Center Sections. The center sections shall be manufactured in accordance with NAVAIRSYSCMD Drawings 1356AS1108, 1356AS1124, 1356AS1130, 1356AS1132, 1356AS1133, 1356AS1134, 1356AS1135, 1356AS1137, 1356AS1139, and 1356AS1157. The center section shall be fabricated from ten inch seamless aluminum tube, aluminum castings, aluminum bar and various fasteners. The following requirements apply to the pod center sections: 1) aircraft mechanical interface -- must comply with MIL-A-8591H; 2) aircraft electrical interface -- must accomodate umbilical connections both forward and aft of suspension lugs and strongback; 3) suspension lugs spacing -- must be equiped with provisions for one set of 14 inch and two sets of 30 inch lugs; 4)suspension rack compatibility -- must be compatible with the following suspension racks: AERO-7, AERO-65, BRU-15, BRU-32, LAU-17 with Multiple Weapons Rack, MAU-12, and TER-7; 5) mold line -- must comply with currently flight-certified ALQ-167 and AST-6 pod mold lines; 6) forward mechanical interface -- must accept existing ALQ-167 and AST-6 forward body sections; 7) aft mechanical interface -- must accept existing ALQ-167 and AST-6 aft body sections; 8) internal configuration -- must accept existing ALQ-167 and AST-6 avionics trays; 9) minimum/maximum operating temperature -- -40 degrees centigrade / +71 degrees centigrade; 10) storage temperature -- -54 degrees centigrade / +71 degrees centigrade; altitude/temperature -- 50,000 feet / -40 degrees centigrade; 11) humidity -- RH 95% +20 degrees centigrade to +71 degrees centigrade; 12) vibration -- plus/minus 10 GRMS, 10-2kHz; and shock -- 20 g, 45 Hz. Total requirement is for 25 each center sections. Deliver at a minimum rate of 5 each per month to commence no later that 180 DAC. Delivery shall be FOB destination.
