synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This notice constitutes a Request
for Quotation (RFQ) for the following: The Contractor shall deliver
and complete the initial set-up of (1 ea) 6 ft x 6 ft Simultaneous
Interpreting Booth with door and 1-way plexiglass window(s); (1 ea)
Conference Microphone Controller with (25) microphone capability; (1
ea) Bilingual Interpreters Console, self-powered, dual interpreter, min
105dB with interlocking controls; (1 ea) Infra-red Transmitter, minimum
6-channel with interchangeable channel modules and 220Volt/110Volt
adaptability; (2 ea) Infra-red Radiators variable from (8-24) Watts and
220Volt/110Volt adaptability; (12 ea) Infra-red Receivers with Mono
Conference Headphones, minimum 6-channel with standard AA Battery
capability; (2 ea) Interpreters Headsets each rated at 200 ohms with
attached microphones; (1 ea) 4-channel Mixer with line-out level for
console; (5 ea) Electronic Conference Microphones with on-off switches;
(1 ea) Wireless Microphone with dual diversity and changeable
frequency; (3 ea) 10 ft XLR Microphone Cables; (2 ea) 50 ft BNC RG58
Cables rated at 50 ohms with BNC Connectors; (2 ea) 10 ft maximum
height adjustable Emitter Panel Tripod Stands; ATA rated Equipment
Carrying Cases sufficient to conveniently transport all of the
electronic equipment. Protective insulation shall be cut to fit the
equipment. The Simultaneous Interpreting Booth is anticipated for
installation at the On-Site Inspection Agency (OSIA) 45045 Aviation
Drive, Dulles International Airport, Dulles, VA, 20166-7517. The
electronic infrared equipment necessary for satisfactory operation must
be able to operate without interference from the nearby airport
electronic frequency transmissions, overhead lighting, and surrounding
equipment. This notice serves as the only Solicitation; quotes are
being requested and a written Solicitation will not be issued. This
procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition
Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act
(FASA). This Solicitation document has incorporated provisions and
clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05.
The procedures identified in FAR 13.106 apply to this acquisition.
Award shall be made on a best value basis, price and other factors
considered, and the Government reserves the right to award to other
than the lowest priced Offeror. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Questions
