US Army TACOM-ARDEC anticipates soliciting a sole source (under the authority of FAR 6.302-1)time-and-material, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity requirement to produce various R&D projectiles and projectile components for tank ammunition. This will be sole source to Primex Technologies located at 60 E. High Street, P.O. Box 127, Red Lion, PA 17356-0127 via a modification to the current contract DAAE30-95-D-0004. Knowledge and experience with production of 120mm/140mm KE projectile assemblies is required. Industry standards and specifications will be used with the exception of MIL-A2550 and DoD-STD-00100D(AR), which will be used for reference purposes only. Estimated quantities for four (4) to five (5) potential efforts/tasks are 20 each non-initiating precursor (NIP) projectile assemblies, 10 each Slip Out Rod In Tube (SORTI) projectile assemblies; 10 each improved design (e.g. different filler and material, new tube design) SORIT projectile assemblies and 200 each 140mm stub cases and 140 combustible case components/sets (adapters, case spring clips, etc.). Security clearance at the secret level is required. This project involves access to information defined as Militarily Critical Technology, subject to restrictions of the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22 USC, Section 2751 et seq.) or Executive Order 12470.
