This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Sup part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. Solicitation number is DAHA14-98-T8101. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through FAC 97-06 and DAC 91-13. The standard industrial code (SIC) is 5084 and the business size standard is 100 employees or less. This procurement is a 100% small business set aside. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for the following items/quantity on a Brand Name Basis for the vehicle and brand name or equal on the accessories. Market research indicated no other machine has the features required to met the government requirements. This Solicitation has one line item with many components. Items required: 1each of All Seasons Vehicles(ASV), Posi-Track, Model MD70, 70 Horsepower, fully tracked Skid loader, with loader assembly, "4 in 1" combination bucket, ISO Hydraulic fittings, full cab enclosure(must include the sliding door) with heater option. The following attachments/options are needed: 1 each Woods/ASV Hi-low brushcutter (or equivalent), Hydraulic Auger with the following auger bits: 12 inch auger bit, 18 inch auger bit, 24 inch auger bit, 1 each "Caretree" model 501(or equivalent) tree transplanter (tree spade) with cone shaped blades and rear stabilizers (and must be compatible with and mount on the Posi-Track MD70 without the need for modifications and capable of digging a 28" root ball) and a trailer capable of hauling a the ASV MODEL MD 70, With the following features, drop deck (tilt bed type trailer, minimum of 12,000lbs GVW, minimum usable width of 73 inches(must be able to accommodate the 66 inch width of the Posi Track), minimum usable legnth of 14 foot. Trailer will have a pintle hitch and minimum of 2000lbs tongue jack, and electric brakes and rubber mounted, fully sealed Dept of Transportation (DOT) approved lighting. Price of items will include all applicable freight charges to Kansas Air National Guard, Wichita, KS.
