68 -- BULK LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE SOL N68936-98-Q-2302 DUE 100198 POC Jean Daniel, Purchasing Agent, (760) 939-0852 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure 350 tons of bulk liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) including delivery. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is N68936-98-Q- 2302 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. The SIC Code is 2813, Size Standard is 1000 employees. Following are the specifications: The contractor shall provide bulk liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) to include delivery. This will be for a period of twelve (12) months. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is to be delivered F.O.B.: Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA. Destination location is an estimated ten (10) miles from the front gate and six (6) miles from the back gate. Usage of carbon dioxide (CO2) is 350 tons over the year, (12 months) period. Requirements for bulk liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) will be ordered orally. The offeror must meet a one (1) day normal working turnaround from the time that the oral order is placed until time of delivery. Normal work days are Monday through Friday. On special occasions Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday delivery will be required when testing is in progress. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and there are no addendums to the provision. Award will be made to the lowest offeror who can meet the Government's specifications. Offeror must include a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with his offer. Clause 52.212-4, Commercial Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition and there are not addendums to this clause.
