Contractor to provide all plant, labor, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to Alter Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Bldg. #146, to install a refueler vehicle bay at the Air National Guard Base, Moffett Federal Airfield, California 94035-5006 (Santa Clara County). Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of new interior spaces and finishes as well as exterior renovation work. Interior work includes: selective demolition and removals, new interior metal stud and gypsum board partitions, trenching and sawcutting of slab, new doors and hardware, new floor and wall finishes, concrete trench with steel grating, new trench exhaust system, new heating system, new exhaust system, new plumbing fixtures, new electrical transformer and power distribution, new accent lighting fixtures and lighting protection. Exterior work includes demolition and removals, including asbestos containing materials, new concrete entrance ramps, exterior wall repair and restoration and new built-up roofing and flashing to accomodate roof mounted HVAC equipment and electrical equipment. The bid schedule will include a base bid plus four additive items. The magnitude of proposed construction is between $250,000. and $500,000. The Invitation to Bid will be issued approximately 3 Oct 98. This solicitation is advertised as an unrestricted procurement. Plans and specifications are limited to prime contractors only. There is a non-refundable charge of $50.00 for one (1) set of bid documents. Only cashier's checks or money orders will be accepted and shall be made payable to: USPFO for California, P.O.
