Heuler (904) 232-3660 (Site Code DACW17) The project base bid work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 458,000 cubic yards (cyds) of shoal material from Port Sutton Channel and Turning Basin to a required depth of 43 feet plus 2 foot allowable overdepth. In addition, the base bid item contains work to clear silted- in weirs at the disposal area. The project contains one optional bid item which consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 165,000 cyds of shoal material from East Bay Channel to a required depth of 43-feet plus 2 -feet allowable overdepth; and approximately 76,000 cyds of shoal material from East Bay Extensions to a required depth plus 2-feet allowable overdepth. All disposal shall be in Hillsborough Bay disposal Area CMDA- 2D. Work also includes turbidity monitoring and endangered species observers. Dredging methods are restricted to hopper, pipeline and closed bucked clamshell. Overflow from barge or hopper is not permitted. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000. to $10,000,000.00.
