16 -- V-22 AIRCRAFT PECULIAR SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL N68335-98-R-0296 POC Mr. Carl Ruzicka, Code 25211, (732)323-2741 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate, on a non-competitive basis, with BELL/BOEING V-22 Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, MD for acquisition of approximately 60 items of organizational level peculiar support equipment for the V-22 (Osprey) aircraft. It is intended to award a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Also, sustaining engineering for the peculiar support equipment will be required. The anticipated contract period will cover five years. For an exact list of the equipment to be procured, contact Mr. Ruzicka. The Government intends to procure the above items/services under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, in writing, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
