The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Grinnel Fire Protection Systems, 835 Sharon Dr, Westlake OH 44145: Qty 4-Workstation Hardware and operating system (to include: ACERPOWER Series 98 Desk-top Pentium 11 233MMX CPU, 128MB memory, 4.3 GB hard drive, CD ROM, 16 bit sound and speakers, Windows NT version 4.0, 17" monitor, 3 year limited warranty -- 1st year on site, 2nd and 3rd year, return to depot service); Qty 4 -- Sitewatch 8000 Software Licenses; Qty 2 -- Server Hardware, operating system and software (to include: ACERALTOS 9100 series Server Pentium II 266MHZ CPU, 256MB memory, 3-4.3 GB SCSII Hard Drives, 2 channel Ultrawide RAID 5 Controller, 12/24 GB DAT and software for tape backups, NT Server version 4.0 SQL Server for NT, 14" monitor, 3 year on-site warranty); Qty 1 -- Laser Report Printer; Qty 1 -- Tractor feed logging printer; Qty 6-Network Controllers for Miniplex and DCP Panels; Qty 3-DCP interface modules (2 lines permodule); Qty 1-On-site 4 day system administration training class for up to 12 students (Grinnell will provide workstations, training hardware and training documentation. A suitable training room is to be provided by the Air Force); Qty 1 -- On-site 1 day training class for system operators (Grinnell will provide training documentation. Air Force to provide operator workstations and a suitable training room); Qty 1 -- System engineering, configuration and setup labor; Qty 1-Database transfer from existing TDX-6000 system to Sitewatch 8000 system; Qty 1 -- Create graphic maps from Air Force CAD drawings and put alarm icons on maps; Qty 1-Final system test (Grinnell will provide one technician to work with two site knowledgeable Air Force representatives. All alarm inputs and outputs will be tested at the field panels during non-overtime hours.) Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies will Satisfy Agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. This information must be received by the Contracting Officer within five (5) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government The Contracting Officer will review responses and make a final determination at that time.
