This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description-The Contractor shall provide an individual to fulfill the duties of a supply technician. The supply technician will be responsible for preparing, researching, and validating requests for local purchase of medical items. Initiates commercial purchase requests, performs and validates computer input to establish, revise, and maintain master records. Processes requisitions, receipts, issues, and turn-ins of supplies and equipment. Validates, corrects, and maintains computer output products and supporting documentation. Initiate follow-up research upon request. Provide timely customer feedback informing of status changes, cancellations, and purchasing alternatives. Warehouse knowledge to include inspection and receipts of incoming supplies and equipment, ensuring that quality and quantity of the material agree with supporting documentation. Some heavy lifting will be required. Ability to participate in off site conferences and/or continual medical education requirements. The location for this service will be Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo. The contract will be for a period from 1 October 1998 through 31 March 1999. The hours of performance are 0700 -- 1600 hours; with a lunch break from 1130 -- 1230 hours. The required uniform that will be suitable for warehouse and office work.
