On Wednesday, October 28, 1998 the GAO will host its 11th Technical
Conference & Exposition at their Headquarters Building and the National
Building Museum. The GAO is the investigative arm of congress -- one of
their missions is to evaluate technology and make recommendations for
policy makers. October 28th is the middle day of a 3 day conference and
the exposition is the only activity on this day. Expected attendence is
300-500 personnel. Other agencies will be invited as well including:
FBI, Department of Justice, Department of Labor, U.S. Mint, and others.
Requested technologies include but are not limited to the following:
Windows Applications, Laptops, Multimedia, Workflow, Y2K, Video
Teleconferencing, Database Management, Presentation Systems,
