J. Robinson, (410) 997-6225 Indefinite Quantity Contract for Painting
and Related Work at Various Postal Owned and Leased Facilities located
in the Cincinnati OH District Area: (Countiesin OH; Adams, Brown,
Clinton, Highland, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Warren, Preble. Counties
in KY; Boone, Campbell, Kenton, Bracken, Carroll, Fleming, Gallatin,
Grant, Mason, Pendleton, Robertson, Harrison. Counties in IN; Dearborn,
Franklin, Ohio, Ripley & Switzerland). One or more work/task orders
will be issued totaling not more than $250,000 during a two (2) year
period of the contract. The initial limit of $250,000 may be increased
by modification as agreed upon by the contractor and the contracting
officer up to the maximum of $3,000,000. At the discretion of the
Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors
must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as of the date of
issue in general construction work. Contractors must also possess the
capabilities of working at least three to five jobs at the same
time.Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer.
The contractor will not be required to perform work under any work
order where the value of work in any one building is less than $2,000.
Offerors will be required to submit one (1) "Multiplier" to be applied
to the various Unit Prices established in the "Unit Price Schedule".
The multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds,
insurance and all other continguencies. No allowance for such items
will be made after contract award. Offers are due by 3:00 PM on October
16, 1998. Solicitation packages will be available on or about September
17, 1998 at a cost of $60.00 per set, Non-refundable. Make checks/money
orders payable to the USPS, Disbursing Officer, referencing
Solicitation #232098-99-A-0002. Packages may be obtained at the FSO,
Attn. Julie, USPS, PO Box 701, Columbia MD 21045-0701. Offers sent via
Express Mail may be addressed using the post office box. Personal
visits and telephone calls for the purpose of discussing this project
are discouraged. The number of offers received, the identity of the
offerors, the amount ofa any one offer, or relative standing of the
offer will not be disclosed to anyone except those Postal Personnel
whose official duties require such information until award of contract
is made. The Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all
