16 -- GENERIC ACOUSTIC STIMULATION SYSTEM SOL n/a POC Valerie Cannon (301) 342-5738, Contract Specialist; Veronica Singmore (301)342-7060, Contracting Officer The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD intends to contract on a sole source basis with Advanced Processing Laboratories, Inc. (AP Labs), 5871 Oberlin Drive, San Diego, CA 92121 for non-personal technical and engineering services and technical support to meet the maintenance and training requirements of the Generic Acoustic Stimulation System (GASS) prototype units. This contract will include the following functional areas to the prototype units previously completed by AP Labs: a) software and hardware configuration control, b) software upgrades, maintenance and documentation, c) system level trouble shooting, and d) on call system support. This requirement is a continuation of on-going efforts by AP Labs, and will provide the insertion, maintenance and upgrade of the GASS environmental acoustic software in an ASW aircraft trainer application. Based on the unique expertise and technical knowledge/experience gained during the previous work on the GASS prototypes, AP Labs is the only source who can meet the requirements without significant duplication of effort and cost within existing time constraints.
