The Service is looking for a commercial off the shelf (COTS) software system that: 1) Creates color coded side tab labels automatically on pin fed labels. 2) Creates barcode in the labels for tracking. 3) Allows for a request feature from 150 staff to the file room staff for specific files needed. Can function at one station per unit. 4) Tracks location of files using barcodes and wands. 5) Has the option of creating different label designs. 6) Can produce reports of files. (i.e. reports for requests pending, reports of all files by location, reports of specific files types only, ad hoc reports,etc.) 7) Support should be available from software company. 9) Allows for handheld barcode inventory, which can be brought back to PC for downloading. 10) Operates in a LAN environment.
