283-1402 The Internal Revenue Service has a requirement to acquire
1,500 magazine/literature racks and support legs for each rack. The
racks are to be located in libraries and other public locations so
taxpayers may have access to various tax forms during tax season. The
racks are to be black steel, upright, and have 23 packets. Each rack
pocket shall be able to display any 8 1/2"-9"X11" literature, hold up
to 150 sheets, and should show only the top 2 1/2" of the literature.
Pocket dimensions: 8 3/4" wide X 8 1/2" high X 3/4" deep. All units
should be able to be wall mounted, using pre-punched keyhole slots, or
be able to convert to into a self standing floor unit with the
addition of the support legs. Racks should have following dimensions:
9 3/4" Wide X 65" high X 4" deep. The contractor must supply a
prototype of the literature/form rack, with support legs, prior to
production. The contractor will be responsible for shipping charges of
prototype being sent to IRS for approval. IRS will be responsible for
shipping charges when returning prototype upon request from the
