for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Supart
12.6 as supplemented with addit- ional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solici- tation will not be issued.
R6-6-98-292 is issued as a request for quotat- ion (RFQ). The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-96. This is not set
aside for small business concerns. The intent of this procurement is
for the supply, installation, and integration of the New- bridge Sun
Ultra 10 446020 Network Manager System. Item 01 46020 Network
Management Software, Release 2.0 (included 40 EN/NMS Point) 1 each,
Item 02, 46020 Release 2.0 EN/NMS Point 50 each, Item 03, SUN Ultra 10
Network Station for 46020 SUN Ultra 10 with 300 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 4.3
GB CD Rom, floppy A22UEA1A9J-A256CD SUN PCI 10/100 Base T, 1 each, Item
04, Color Monitor, 19-inch, 1 each, Item 05, External SLR Tape Drive,
1 each, Item 06, SCSI 68-pin Cable Kit and Power Cord, 1 each, Item 07,
Solaris 2.5 for Ultra 10, 1 each, Item 08, Installation and integration
of the whole 46020 Network Manager System including nine 3600 nodes,
one year parts and labor. This network system equipment is compatible
with existing Newbridge tele- communications System equipment (router
and circuits) at the Mt. Hood National Forest Headquarters building.
Deliver, installation and integra- tion shall be completed by October
31, 1998 FOB destination. The provis- ions at 52.212-Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provisions at
52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, the following criteria, required
by Fedearl Acquisitions Regulations will be applied in evaluating the
firms for award. 1. Specialized experience and technical competence in
the type of supply, installation and integration required, 2. capacity
to accomplish the work in the required time, 3. past performance on
contracts with Government agencies and private in- dustry in terms of
cost control, quality of work and compliance with per- formance
schedules. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. Interested firms shall submit their
proposal, which shall include information concerning the firm's
general qualifications, experience, technical capabilities, and pricing
for the requirements of this project. Responses are dut 4:30 PM, local
time, September 28, 1998. Further information may be obtained from

award decision will be made and an order placed on September 29, 1998.
