R -- RENEWAL OF DATABASE SERVICES SOL CC-98-G-0146 POC Jeff Ryan, Contracting Officer, (202) 874-5034 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) intends to issue a delivery order against the Library of Congress' FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to renew the subscription with Lexis-Nexis for the continued use and access of their database for online electronic retrieval. The period of performance shall be from January 1, 1999 through December 31, 1999. The Lexis-Nesis service provides for information in the areas of legislation, regulation, business, financial, public record, current affairs, and news wire stories. In addition, the service provides a legislative databases which allows access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews and specialty publications. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, unless affirmative responses are received in writing within 15 days after publication of this synopsis indicating that a source exists which would be more favorable to the Government, the OCC will issue an order against the FEDLINK BOA. Responses should include full costing information, as well as descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
