Laboratory (LLNL), owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and
operated by the University of California, intends to license technology
for manufacturing thin film transistors on plastic substrates. The
technology pertains to the fabrication of silicon thin film transistors
on inexpensive, low-temperature plastic substrates which could
substantially reduce the cost of flat panel displays. License terms are
expected to include, but may not be limited to, a license issue fee,
minimum annual royalties, and running royalties based on sales. NOTE:
THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT. Companies wishing to explore licensing of
this technology must respond in writing to LLNL within thirty (30) days
of this announcement by providing the following information: (1) name
and address of your company; (2) name, telephone, and fax number of
your company's point of contact; (3) corporate literature describing
your products and manufacturing facilities; (4) prior experience and
success commercializing an early-stage, potentially high-risk
