This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and written solitication will not be issued. Solicitation F33600-98-Q-0001 is issued as a request for quotation. The soliciation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-6. This acquisition is to support and existing GSA project by procuring a portion that is not GSA available. The following equipment and spare parts is to support the upgrade required to expand and maintain existing Egyptian Air Force microwave communications system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretionof the Government.
