X -- LEASE OF MODULAR BUILDING SOL F08620-99-R0001 DUE 101398 POC TSgt Rick Cron, Contract Specialist, (850)884-1261; Scott Ilg, Contracting Officer, (850)884-1260 The Air Force at Hurlburt Field, FL intends to issues a Request for Proposal under the statutory authority of Unusual and Compelling Urgency, citation 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), for the lease of one (1) pre-fabricated 10,000 square foot modular building. It is the government's intent to have the facility in-place and operational by no later 15 Dec 1998. The resultant contract will include a Base Year with two one-year option periods. Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to fabricate, transport and erect facility. Facility will have pre-constructed bathrooms and two to three private offices. The rest of the facility will have an open bay. The open bay shall be designed to facilitate the connection of power and computer hook-ups to a modular furniture system. Computer and power connections shall come from above suspended ceiling. Contractor shall erect the facility on a site to be prepared by the government. Site work, by the contractor, shall include finegrading and leveling of the facility, and connection of the facility to stubbed-out utilities. During the leasing the prospective contractor shall be responsible for maintenance and repairs. This is an unrestricted procurement, subject to availability of funds as prescribed by FAR 52.232-18.
