U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals to install a new main
electrical feed to the Hartforf Processing & Distribution Center at 141
Weston St. in Hartford, CT. Work includes demolition, concrete,
fireproofing, electrical, and other related work. The estimated cost of
the work is between $200,000.00 and $400,000.00, with completion within
one hundred fifty (150) calendar days after receipt of notice to
proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no
later than, 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 1998. Offers will not be
publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the
offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors
WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made.
Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available o/a
September 16, 1998 at a cost of $25.00 per set (non-refundable) from
the Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road
North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Acceptable forms of payment are
certified checks or money orders only, made payable to the Disbursing
Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No.
082530-99-A-0002). Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and
information regarding their availability may be obtained by contacting
Catherine Delasco at (860) 285-7191. Questions concerning the
technical aspects of the proposal should be directed to Roger Saulnier
at (203) 756-8944. There will be a preproposal conference for this
project on Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at the site.
