Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide an official response to questions received. QUESTION 1: Can the stainless steel seamless pipe be foreign or must it be domestic? ANSWER: Foreign, if it meets specifications. QUESTION 2: Any quantity variation permitted (industry wide practice is plus or minus 10 percent)? ANSWER: Yes, plus or minus 10 percent quantity variation is permitted. QUESTION 3: Is there an ASTM specification to go with the pipe, i.e., ATM A312 Tp 304L? ANSWER: Yes, it should read ATM A312-TP-304L for line items 1-3. QUESTION 4: Due to the many configurations of countersunk washers (item 17), my manufacturer will need to know the following: (1) outside diameter of washer, (2) depth of recession, (3) 1 or both sides countersunk, (4) thickness of washer, (5) particular grade of stainless, and (6) outside diameter of recessed area if this area is on the inside diameter of washer. ANSWER: Item 17 is deleted from the solicitation. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to September 23, 1998. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on September 9, 1998.
