58 -- OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GPS MOBILE DATA COLLECTION FACILITY (MDCF) POC Mr. Joe Giangrosso, Program Manager, 850-882-8601, Ext 5082; Ms Karen Schutt, Contract Specialist, 850-882-8601, Ext 5076 The Aeronautical System Center, Range Instrumentation, Program Office (RISPO), Contracting Division (ASC/WMRK) plans to award a sole source contract to LITTON/TASC of Fort Walton Beach, FL for one (1) year of operational and engineering support required to operate and maintain the GFE GPS trailer system and associated RISPO instrumentation equipment for designated test and training range programs. The contractor shall provide routine maintenance and government-coordinated upgrades for GFE equipment and support operation of the equipment for scheduled missions: including preflight support, on-site TSPI monitoring and post-mission reporting. The contractor shall provide highly qualified and experienced GPS test support personnel intimately familiar with the FSED, LRIP and FRP RISPO GPS equipment and testing. The contractor shall provide an established staging area for the trailer for test missions data monitoring with a GFE 100 foot erectable tower for GPS and datalink reception. The contractor shall arrange to transport the GPS trailer and equipment utilizing a GFE truck. The contractor shall also provide technical support and equipment as required at professional GPS and navigation/communication conferences. All equipment will be available at commencement of contract. Neither training nor manuals on the RISPO GPS equipment will be available. The personnel at TASC have operated the trailer in this configuration and are familiar with all aspects of its operation.. This is not a request for proposal.
