Invitation for Bid (IFB) and award a Firm Fixed Price contract for
thirty-nine (39) Circuit Card Assembly (s), NSN: 5998-01-146-4051 IAW
Part No. B4027006, P/O and U/W the SG-1139/G Digital Data Generator,
NSN: 6625-01-136-2046. The Digital Data Generator SG-1139/G tests paths
including separate equipments, cables, transmitters and receivers, and
complete systems. It has the following characteristics: compatible
with ATACS (Army Tactical Communications System) and TRI-TAC
(Tri-Service Tactical Communication System) systems; includes a
transmitter and receiver with a built-in-clock; powered from standard
115 Volt AC line; accessories are supplied in the cover; and ruggedized
for field use. It has the following capabilities: checks unbalanced
NRZ, balanced NRZ, and diphase paths, measures total errors and bit
error rate; checks station clock; and operates from internal clock,
external clock, or clock derived from path under test. It has the
following features: automatic, continuous evaluation of bit error rate;
simple operation with minimal hazard to personnel or equipment; has
built-in test equipment; and rapid access to assemblies for ease of
repair. Due to the required special test equipment and Special
Standards of Responsibility, a formal Pre-Award Survey will apply.
There will be a First Article requirement. The Statement of Work,
Product Specification and description of the item will be issued with
the solicitation. A CD-ROM with associated drawings may be requested in
writing once the solicitation has been posted to the CECOM Acquisition
Center Business Opportunity Page. The U.S. Army Communications
