This solicitation will cover the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program which is designed to provide re-supply support to Department of Defense (DoD) forces during military operations or up to two major regional conflicts. (The initial surge support to deploying forces will be satisfied through separately awarded regional medical/surgical prime vendor contracts.) Also, covered under this solicitation,is the procurement of small quantity buys (for medical/surgical items covered under this solicitation) that require urgent delivery. These small quantity buys will be processed by the DSCP Emergency Supply Operations Center (ESOC) during peacetime support. Under this solicitation, the Contractor will only be required to manage and distribute specific identified items. The deliverables will be single items (line items 0001-0118) and/or those same items assembled into predetermined unit assemblies (UAs) (line items 1000-1052). Upon order placement, the Contractor selected by DSCP Medical will be responsible to package the order and offer it for transportation to the Contractor's loading dock within 72 hours or three business days (excluding holidays) for re-supply support and within 24 hours or 1 business day (excluding holidays) for small quantity ESOC buys. The Government designated carrier would then be responsible for the pick up and delivery of the materiel. Prices should be FOB Origin.
