Murphy, San Antonio and Kerrvile Divisions, has a requirement for refuse and recycling services. The contractor will be required to collect and dispose of general waste, medical waste, and perform recycling services for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and also for our outpatient clinics located at Laredo, McAllen, Corpus Christi, and Victoria Texas. Our estimated yearly requirements for general waste is 3,207,420 pounds, for medical waste is 574,600 pounds and recycled paper/cardboard is 144,550 pounds. Contract period will be December 1, 1998 through November 30, 1999, with four one year renewal options. These serivces meet the criteria for a commercial service and simplified acquistion procedures will be used for this procurement. The Standard Classification for this procurement is 4953.
