Postal Service is seeking potential sources interested in providing eleven to fifteen 7 ton bobtail trucks (26,000 GVW) in a pilot program to evaluate the feasibility of using liquid natural gas (LNG) in over-the-road mail hauling vehicles. The trucks engines are to be replaced with a Cummins Model B5.9-195LPG, Or Equal, other minor modifications will be necessary for conversion to LNG. 20'foot box is to be modified with additional reinforcements and E-tracks. Lease period 2 years with USPS option to renew for one additional two yr. period. Contractor to be responsible for fuel and maint. (this requirement may be modified before solicitation issuance.
