CONTROL INTERFACE UNITS (RRCIU) -- Diane Davis, Contract Specialist,
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The RRCIU Project is a future
FAA sponsored acquisition anticipated to result in a contract award of
approximately 250 RRCIUs, with options for quantities up to 250
additional units. The RECIU shall allow the Remote Radio control System
(RRCS) to interface with the following systems: MALSR, PAPI, REILS,
ODALS, and VASI. First site delivery is required not later than 9
months after contract award. An earlier announcement provided a draft
specification for review. It is now planned to use the original
specification FAA-E-2663, dated November 18, 1976, INTERFACE UNIT MALSR
REMOTE CONTROL, with revisions specified in the statement work of the
Screening Information Request (SIR). Such revisions include, but are
not limited to, functionality of the RRCIU Circuit Board contained in
the RRCIU unit. The RRCIU SIR will be released to any vendor responding
