The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Date General Corporation, hardware maintenance on two 9500's for the period of October 1, 1998 through March 31, 1999. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms that recognize and can provide the required items and services must provide supporting evidence that they can provide the required hardware maintenance. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received with 5 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solelywithin the discretion of the Government.
