This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation no. F2660098Q2037 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. Solicitation is reserved for small business. The SIC for this solicitation is 7359. The size standard listed in FAR 19 classifies small business as those that gross less than 5 million annual, based on the average of the three previous fiscal years. Item description as follows: all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and all other necessary items to provide care for 29 government owned palms, 16 government owned potted plants, and all other contractor furnished plants requiredin the Statement of Work. All Government and contractor furnished plants and maintenance are required in (2) two dinning facilities located in Area I (main base), Nellis AFB NV. All other work is listed in the statement of work. The period to be covered is from 1 Oct 98 to 30 Sept 99, with four (4) option years. There are (5) five line items included in this solicitation, one per each year of the contract. There will be a site visit will be held at 1400 PST 24 Sep 98. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror whose offer will result in the lowest technically acceptable price. The government will evaluate options for award purpose by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement for the total five-year period. The government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the government to exercise the options.
