Yancey Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Dayton, Ohio anticipates issuing a contract to a health care provider for non emergency health care services for eligible veterans located in Lima, Ohio and surrounding counties. This initiative is in keeping with the VA's national goal to have outpatient health care services within 30 miles of any veteran. The successful contractor will service veterans by providing health care services (medical, psychological, & allied) and referrals to the Dayton VAMC. The initial contract will cover three years (one-year performance period and two optional years). The contractor will be reimbursed on a capitated basis. Estimated volumes for the Lima service area are: year one -- 1,000, year two -- 1,500, year three -- 2,000. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of price, facility(s), management and technical services offered. The contractor shall provide service within 45 days after contract award. The solicitation will be available on or about 9/30/98, proposals will be due 30 days thereafter and contract awarded 1/99. SIC code 8093 applies.
