This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a MARKET SURVEY to identify sources with the capability to continue the design and implementation of data processing systems for the management of product data in digital formats. This effort is in support of the WR-ALC Integrated Product Data Support Center (IPDSC) located at Robins AFB GA. The purpose of the IPDSC is to provide processes, tools, and other infrastructure for the acquisition, storage, management, and distribution of electronic product data. The term product data refers to a broad family of data including digital technical orders, engineering drawings, and Computer Aided Design generated models. The requirement includes, but is not limited to, 1) Engineering services to support the government's ability to acquire, process, use and distribute digital product data, & 2) Integration of existing in-house data systems, development of new product data management systems, and other related activities. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. The extent of foreign participation or level of security clearance required to receive a solicitation has not yet been determined.
