NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Offers for the replacement of four (4) unit substations, four (4) unit substation switchgears, and installation of a substation fire wall and two (2) indoor power distribution panelboards. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500,000-$1,000,000, and the effort shall be completed within 300 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1731 and $7,000,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about October 9, 1998, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about November 9, 1998. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Solicitation attachments and drawings only will be available from the Bid Distribution Office at (757) 864-2548. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
