Request for Quotation (RFQ) for mechanical booster pump. (1) Model
No.1722-S, QUANTITY 2 EA. Specifications as set forth below: The
mechanical booster pump has a 15 HP motor attached to the microvac unit

controls supplied as standard on all models. 460v/60Hz/3hp power with
transformer and 115b control circuits are standard. *Displacement of
2nd stage blower is 1300cfm (2209 Cu.M./HR.) Other electrical
arrangements optional. Dimensions are subject to minor changes; confirm
before construction. This procurement is being conducted under the
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase
the items from Stokes Vacuum, Inc., 5500 Tabor Road, Philadelphia, PA
19120. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR
Part 12. Interested firms have until September 30, 1998 to submit in
writing to the identified point of contact, their
qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be
used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct
this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after
September 30, 1998, will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis
and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not
compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis,
based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
the Government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this
notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be
considered by the agency. The SIC code and the business size standard
for this procurement are 3492 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall
state in their quotation their size for this procurement. Delivery to
MSFC is required within 60 day ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
Indicate wheter or not you accept the Government Impact Card(VISA).
