Flight Test Center has a requirement for the designing, fabricating,
testing and delivery of high pressure (8500 and 10,000 psig)
particulate filters for use in gaseous or liquid hydrogen, nitrogen,
and oxygen systems. The filters will range in size from 1-1/2" to 12"
and must be capable of filtering particles from 10 to 400 microns.
Filters in hydrogen and nitrogen service will be fabricated from
stainless steel; filters in oxygen service will be fabricated from
Monel 400. The filters shall be designed such that the filter
cartridges are removable, replaceable, and accessible. Some filters
will be provided with buttweld ends; others with Reflange type hubs.
The filter cartridges shall require precision cleaning, and spare
cartridges will be supplied with each filter. The contractor shall
supply the filter, complete with filter cartridges, pressure taps (used
for differential pressure measurement) that are weld boss machined, and
flanges. Filters shall be fabricated under the ANSI and ASTM Standards.
Interested contractors must be able to demonstrate technical experience
in the designing and fabrication process. This procurement is very
rigid as to material specifications and drawing compliance. The
contract shall be subject to on-site inspection by government
representatives prior to contract award and after contract award during
production. The contract being contemplated is a firm fixed price
indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. This requirement is
a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Sic Code is 3569. Size standard is 500
