The Library of Congress intends to issue delivery orders against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) to renew a subscription for the continued use and access of their service by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Library and Information Services Section, Washington DC. (FDIV) Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) is a not-for-profit organization created at the suggestion of Congress to help organizations comply with U.S. copyright law. Through its licensing programs, CCC provides a method for agencies to satisfy copyright law permissions and royalty requirements by establishing a blanket annual license to make photocopies for the internal use of the agency. Acting as an authorized agent for over 9,200 registered publishers worldwide, CCC can authorize copying from over 1.75 million titles. License fees for FEDLINK member agencies will be determined by using the following three elements: 1) Number of professional and administrative employees; 2) Type of government organization; 3) Government licenses must be "self-contained," i.e., entire agency must be licensed .authorized users with a lawful means for making photocopies from its repertory of over 1.75 million titles. Services will be continued through September 30, 1999. WRITTEN RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE PRICES AND TECHNICAL DATA SUFFICIENT TO DETERMINE CAPABILITY. No telephone calls will be accepted.
