This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 98-Q-106 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. This action is a 100% small business set aside. The SIC code is 3577 Computer Peripheral Equipment, and the small business size standard is 1,000. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for two hundred and fifteen (215) Xico Model 5607 Card Verifiers for credit cards, ATM cards, Driver Licenses, and ID cards. No substitutions will be accepted. The Contractor shall deliver the complete quantity; FOB Destination, to multiple nationwide and international U.S. Secret Service Field Office locations. All proposals should include a unit cost for the equipment and a unit cost for shipping/freight charges, if applicable. The exact shipping locations will be provided to the winning offeror upon award. Delivery shall be within forty five (45) days of receipt of award. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract, to the offeror whose quotation conforming to the specification, will be the most price advantageous to the Government. All responsible small business sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which will be considered by the USSS. Please note price quotes by facsimile or electronic responses, including electronic mail, will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310L Street, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Kathleen Wilson; no later than the 12:00 P.M.
