The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Atlantic Zeiser for numbering blocks for Cope Presses. Funds are not presently available for performance for this equipment until after October 1, 1998(Fiscal year 1999 funds). The Government's obligation for performance of this requirement beyond that date is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This procurement action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 13.106-1. See numbered Note 22. The procedures set forth in FAR part 13.106-3 shall be used. No telephone requests will be honored.
