The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to negotiate a contract modification to contract N00039-98-C-0033 with Raytheon Systems Company, 1001 Boston Post Rd, Marlborough, MA 01752. This modification will increase the maximum quantity of Installation Kits: Electronic Equipment (IKEE) from 36 to 86 that can be procured under contract N00039-98-C-0033. IKEEs are a part of the Medium Data Rate (MDR) Upgrade to the AN/USC-38(V) Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) terminal. The EHF MDR capability includes data rates to T1 (1.544 MBPS) and survivable communication. The IKEEs include all items necessary to support the above deck MDR frequency plan and the below deck antenna control circuitry needed to provide MDR capability using the existing 3-foot EHF SATCOM antenna.
