E-MAIL: Beth W. Ewing, beth.ewing@msfc.nasa.gov. NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Wavelength Agile Tuner. This procurement involves a computerized wavelength agile tuner to be mounted on the already NASA/MSFC 9.1 um CO2 continuous wave Dopler lidar. Wavelenth agile tuner model 50EZ, includes mechanical and optical intervace, electronic and software customization and housing conversion to Invar. This tuner also must have the capability of efficient and stable wavelength tunability between the CO2 wavelength range between 9.1-11.4 um. It must be readily mounted in the already existing 9.1 um lidar without extensive modifications to the lidar layout. The period of performance shall be five months. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Three Sigma Corporation. Interested firms have 7 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
