19 -- EQUIPMENT TRANSPORTATION BARGES SOL 201819R001 POC Joseph B. Grainey, Contract Specialist (505)248-6793 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2, seeks proposals to furnish all labor, materials, equipment to fabricate and deliver three transportation barges. The barges shall be specially designed to transport equipment and supplies. The barges shall consist of a port barge, a center barge and, a starboard barge. The barges shall be attached together with a pin system. The barges shall be designed so as to provide a minimum of 12" of freeboard when all three barges are attached together and the center barge is loaded with 20,000 pounds. The delivery location is Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge which is near the town of Jet Oklahoma in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. The SIC code for this requirement is 3731. The solicitation is a small business set aside. The contract will be awarded as a comercial item purchase. The prime contractor will be required to perform a minimum of 85% of the work. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible contractor who offers the lowest price in consideration of priceand price related factors. It is estimated that the solicitation will be available by October 16, 1998. It is estimated that the response date for the solititation will be November 12, 1998. It estimated that evaluation and award will be made by November 19, 1998.
