Booker-Neilson, x 3021 Aeronautical Systems Center, Propulsion Development System Office (ASC/LP), has reviewed the requirement that F100s (-229 and 220's) orders be placed at least eighteen (18) month in advance of scheduled engine deliveries. As a result of the review, plans are in to place to permit orders to be placed in as little as twelve (12) months in advance of scheduled engine delivery against the existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded to Pratt & Whitney on 28Jan 94. This Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract covers users' requirements of fighter system platforms for both domestic and Foreign Military Sales. Orders were planned in the basic contract.
