This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addition information included in this notice. This announcenebt constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/HQ intends to purchase the BASIS SOFTWARE. This items are available only from INFORMATION DIMENSIONS, INC. which is proprietary source code, also only company that has the detailed technical knowledge of the software code and language statement required to perform software maintenance. No other software manufacturer has been licensed by INFORMATION DIMENSIONS, INC. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures(SAP) NASA/HQ intend to purchase the items from INFORMATION DIMENSIONS, INC., is the only company that has the detailed technical knowledge of the softwarecode and language statemens required to perform software maintenance and upgrade. No other software manufacturer has been licensed by INFORMATION DIMENSIONS, INC. to provide BASIS software maintenance or been given the ability to provide updates to BASIS software products as soon as they are available. Interested firms have (15) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the (15) days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synposis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
