This project consists of the construction of an ORV tie trail from the Lower Chiwawa ORV Trail #1548, near the Goose Creek Campground, to Maverick Saddle. Project includes approximately 5.1 kilometers of new trail construction. Project consists of an upper and lower trail project. The upper and lower trail projects are connected via an existing road on which there is no work associated with this project. Items of work include: Clearing and Grubbing, Excavation and Embankment, Grade Dips, Climbing Turns, Grid Pavement Trail Stabilization, and a Trail Retaining Wall. Approximately one mile of this new trail construction is located on mid-slopes between 65% and 75%, while the remaining portions of new trail construction are located on more moderate side slopes. Some blasting will most likely be required to complete the trail construction. New trail construction shall have 800 mm of tread, and on the side slopes above 35%, the trail shall be full bench. The Government Estimate is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. No bid or performance bonds will be required. Alternate Payment Protection (payment bond) is required.
