The Air Force Flight Research Laboratory has a requirement for the procurement of a prototype water resistojet feed control and plume diagnostic electronics (PDE). Trisys, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona has researched and designed the PDE on a previous separate procurement. These electronics will be used to control the flow of water propellant, from a storage tank to a water water resistojet thruster on the MightySat II.1 satellite. The electronics board will be used to collect data from plume diagnostic sensors that will analyze the thruster exhaust. Trisys, Inc. has the only access to the Modular Electronics Unit (MEU), which is an essential component to these electronics. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 (ten) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
