services to the schoolship T.S. EMPIRE STATE at its berth in SUNY
Maritime College, Ft. Schuyler, Bronx, NY and performing shipboard
repairs consisting of installing thermal pipe covering, renewal of
steel and copper-nickel piping systems and appurtenances, fuel oil tank
cleaning, renewal of weather and firedoors, deck covering repairs and
renewal, motor repairs and other hull, mechanical and electrical
repairs; all to be accomplished to rules and regulations of the U.S.
Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping which pertain to,
ocean-going steel ships. Any interested firm may request a copy of the
solicitation and all responsible offerors may submit bids which shall
be considered by the Agency. The Maritime Administration requires that
to be eligible for award under this solicitation, offerors must be
holders of the Master Lump Sum Repair Agreement (MLSRA) or shall apply
for and agree to the terms and conditions of the MLSRA. Offerors may
accept the MLSRA with their bid; non-holders shall provide annual
representation and certification as required by the MLSRA. Delivery
schedule is 30 days after effective date of a written Notice to

Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportration
(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU)
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged busines
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under DOT Short
Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts
receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For
